Accepted offer. Leaving HH

It's off to Oz I go, onto a general adult psych unit of a large free standing psych facility. No, I will not be the one locked up, I'll be the one with the keys. One regret is 8 hour shifts, at least for now. I was looking forward to 4 days off. Still, there are good things to be said for 8 hour shifts. They go pretty fast.

I wish I would have made this move sooner, like right after Thanksgiving when the weather tanked. I could have saved myself a tire that got damaged on one of the local roads. $170 for that tire. One of those modified low profile jobs.

Hope you guys don't mind my popping in here from time to time. There are some real nice people out there who need you. Take care of them and you.

Specializes in LTC/hospital, home health (VNA).

Congratulations!!! :yeah: Good luck! You'll have to share some of your new adventures with us!

Oh boy! A psych unit! Hope you enjoy your new job. And be careful. You know when these guys go off sometimes some poor person within range gets hurt. Don't want that happening to you.

Thanks for the good send-off. Yes, I'll be careful. I learned a lot in HH about safety. It seemed like for about a month I was a magnet for psychotic patients. At least this will be a controlled environment. I'll let y'all know how it goes.

Best of luck to you in your new venture. You will be missed on this site....so I am pleased to see you will pop in every now and then. I enjoyed reading your posts and have learned much from you.

I have just one request......save a padded room for me will you? Some days I think I could use one! Especially with all the changes with Medicare. :banghead:
