Accepted into nursing school

Published

I just got my acceptance letter into nursing school. I start this August. I just want to say thank you to everyone that posts on allnurses, it's been a huge blessing having everyone's posts to read to get me through.

Hey, I just wanted to say congrats on getting accepted into BRCC nursing school! I am applying in Spring of 2016. I noticed you mentioned on here that you made a 4.0. I currently have a 4.0 but I am taking A&P this fall. I wanted to know if you could give me some advice on passing the class or just any tips! Thanks so much! I am new on here! You can direct message me but I can't send direct messages!

Hi! Thanks so much. I'm so excited. We had orientation Friday and my first day is tomorrow. I'm so excited I don't know if I'll be able to sleep tonight. Haha.

That's really great that you have a 4.0 so far. Congrats on that.

A&p was the most amazing and wonderful class to me. People say it's hard and so much work and blah blah .... It's awesome!! If you love to learn and love the human body then you will absolutely love this class and have no problem.

My advice would be to stay on top of reading, do not get behind. Read every single day. No matter what. Keep your book with you everywhere you go. Because it is a lot of information, it requires 100% dedication and focus. If you have time management skills, then you will be fine. That is the only thing that ive noticed that people mess up with. They don't put in the time but expect a great outcome. Your grade will align with the number of hours you have read and studied. So just put in the time and read read read. The book is amazing and the test material comes straight from it. You can't say names on here but your teacher will be a big part in how difficult this class is. So I hope you chose wisely. There are some at Brcc that will die before you get out with an a.

But you can do it! Just remind yourself that you really do need all of the information in the class for your profession so it's very important that you soak it all up. Enjoy learning the information and it'll be over before you know it. My A&p teacher said "I wouldn't want someone taking care of my grandmother who barely passed A&p, would you" and that stuck with me. Remember that you will need this information to take care of actual people so it's really important. When you look at it like that, it puts more of a desire inside of you to make sure you do extremely well.

Good luck and make some friends and get A study group going. I met with a study group three to four times a week and it helped me out so much

times a

This have encouraged me beyond words! Thank you so much. You're like the first person that gave me positive feed back and I cherish every word and agree with you wholeheartedly!

Actually you probably remember me sort of, I was the guy with SNA group at BRCc, we came in to tell yall about the club. I'm so happy for you! I don't you and you inspire me. You're going to be an amazing nurse! Thank you! And I will be joining the next cycle! Thanks again!

Congratulations. August is almost over. Nothing like taking it right down to the wire.

Didn't see the original post date was June. lol.
