:welcome: Hi everyone! I thought it might be a good idea to get our own separate thread for those accepted to Columbia ETP! Sure we have a lot to discuss!
I would also like to invite current students to this topic to share your experiences and answer some questions.
Here is one question that is really bothering me.
I have been working and studying simultaneously for the past 4 years, and to tell the truth I am really tired. Will financial help from Columbia (both scholarship and loans) allow me to only study? In particular, how much money do they give every month for living expenses? If you feel uncomfortable writing about it in public, personal messages are welcome too
Aside from this, - congrats to all those accepted and really looking forward to meeting you! :balloons:
Oh, by the way, I am Women's Health! What about you?

I will be in Columbia's ETP program for Pediatric Nursing! I am absolutely ecstatic about going to this school and finally becoming a nurse. I'll definitely be at the info session in March

Welcome everyone! I will probably be one of the zombie-eyed students representing the currently enrolled etp'ers in March. If you have any questions let me know. As for financial aid - Aunt Sallie Mae takes care of everything, unless you really live it up. The financial aid guy is not the brightest bulb you could hope for, so pay attention!
Thanks for joining us fluffhead! You are not the first one to say that about Mr Vasquez or whatever his name is . Can you elaborate a little? What should we watch for at different stages? Thanks in advance!

Yay! Congrats to all of us!
I applied for women's health and got my letter this afternoon. I'm hoping to come to the visiting day, but I'm still taking microbio and it meets Friday nights! Grrr. Have to see if I can swing it. So excited!

I got my letter today... literally only the letter came, no envelope! I'm surprised it actually made it to my mailbox... but anyway, I'm in!! :pumpiron:
Anniepants - I'll be joining you in acute care!
I don't think I'll be able to make it to the info sessions because I have both my labs on that day...I'll have to see if I can work something out and go to a different lab that week...
Congrats to all!

I got my letter today! I am so happy! I was accepted into the Nurse Midwifery program. I must have checked my mailbox 3 times before the mailman came. I live in Seattle, so I was not sure if it would actually make it here today. I am still waiting to hear from Vanderbilt... I could not be happier!:yelclap:
I won't be attending the info session. Its too far to travel for just a weekend session.

I am taking microbiology too!
About the envelope - I got a small thick one, with separate sheet about fafsa, and another one - the requirements I'm missing, plus a still another one - names of the famous professors that we'll have the privelege to learn from.
Yey, so great there are so many of us here! we'll get to know each other even before the classes start! Oy, I am so excited... For the past three days I've been telling my husband (as the answer to any question) - get out of here, I've been accepted to Columbia! :roll
