Acceptance to NVCC Fall 2011 Program!!!

Hey Guys,

For Northern Virginia Community College nursing programs!!! I know it's early but whenever we do find out whether or not we get accpeted everybody should post to this thread and their stats a.k.a. G.P.A., Teas Scores etc if you would like!!! I pray I get into traditional and everyone else does too lol! I look forward to seeing what happens!

It appears to have been sent to everyone that received a letter so far... At least from what I can tell from this website and from some people in my current classes. One of my friends didn't receive the email and hasn't gotten her letter yet. I HOPE that doesn't necessarily mean anything. Does anyone know how many people generally get put on the waitlist? Any idea how many of the waitlisted people tend to get in? Does anyone know how many applicants there even were this year? Sorry for all the questons! :)

Yes, I got A's on NAS 161 and 162, A on orientation, well really A on everything, however I got B on English 111 and that's the only B I have. I also have taken pharmacolgy and I got an A, medical terminology A, psy 201 and 202 also A. Does this help anything?

It feels that way! Luckily, the CPR classes are pretty frequent, so it should be easy to find one that works with your schedule. This background check business/drug test I'm wondering about... Sounds like it may take awhile to get the results back. Too bad we don't have any more info until the website becomes available... Immunizations will just be a PITA. No idea what I need. I'm sure when we finally have access to the site, I'll freak out, because I'm sure I'm forgetting things. :)

thanks to all for the words of encouragement. I did not receive an email from Mrs V today, which is concerning. However, no matter what happens, I'm focused on doing what I need to do to get accepted, even if it takes another year.

Should I repeat courses to raise my GPA?

I had pretty good TEAS scores (90s) and a good GPA in my other pre reqs (3.5). Anyone who has been in my shoes, feel free to chime in.

I know that NVCC is a great program and I'm really happy for those got in.

No, I got a 78, 80 and 82. What do you think? Can it be worse then that??? Probably not huh? I am rally worried, reaaaallly because I studied so hard and did so well, but i have a problem with timed tests.
