Acceptance Letters

Published

How do your programs work? Are there acceptance letters and waitlist letters only or do people actually receive a letter of denial?

Acceptance only for my school, no waitlist no denial. If you aren't accepted you are on a list but you aren't straight up told so, if class starts and you are not in it you were rejected. All that said its been 33 days since I applied and I still dont know where I stand, except that I havent been accepted...

Hang in there! I turned my in mid Jan! I am a bundle of nerves! I bet that letter of acceptance will come sooner than you know! :D

Thanks for the encouragement, but it wont be sooner than I know. I have done a lot of number crunching on the last 2 fall cycles for my programs and the avg working days from deadline until first round is informed puts me finding out next Wed. Of course I could find out tonight or up to next Friday (but after that its spring break for them and me, dont know what I am going to do but it is going to be void of the internet and I doubt they would post results during that time anyway).

I really just need the moto that I am sure I'll get from the acceptance letter to keep me on track this semester...

Good luck to you too.

My school sends out acceptance letters and wait list letters. I hadn't heard of outright denials, but with the wait list letters I was told the applicant is given what number they are on the wait list.

Pretty much everyone in my pre-reqs applied to the program and we were all was on edge when we heard they were sent out. Thankfully, our program was very efficient; the deadline was Jan 25 and I found out I got in Feb 23.

Don't get discouraged! I applied to a program last year that took about 3-4 months to hear back from.

Good luck, I hope you hear good news!!! :)

My school does not keep a wait list. They send out acceptance and denials. If you get a large envelope, you can bet its an acceptance. A regular envelope = a denial.
