World Canada CA Programs

Hi!

I was just wondering if anyone else was waiting around to find out whether or not they got into an accelerated nursing program in ON? Where did you apply and when do people generally hear back from admissions?

Thanks danee78!! I applied to Western and Humber as well and i'm on the waiting list for all three :(. I have finished my undergrad too! Fingers crossed!! :)

I really hope you make it! I'll have my fingers crossed for you... so nerve wrecking :-(

Congratulations Ashvg! I'm looking forward to meeting you in September. I recently accepted an offer to UWO I received on June 6th. I was never sent a waitlist email from them so they must now be getting close to filling the class. Looks like the average might be higher this year than in the past.

Thanks! Congrats to you too. Yah I thought last years cut off was about 81%, but sounds like it will be a bit more competitive this year.

Have you joined the facebook group yet...? its UWO Compressed Time Frame BScN Class of 2014 to all those accepted to western.

Cant wait to meet you and everyone else either!

Yes I found the facebook page and have become a member but thanks for the info. Looks like only 11 people have signed up so we're missing 45 others. I suppose word hasn't spread too far about the page. A girl I was talking to in the class ahead of us says the page will be a lifesaver so hopefully the others join us soon.

If anyone is interested I'm hoping to arrange a get together / standard first aid/ cpr for health care providers session. I've contacted a trainer in London who can provide the course for $155 or less (less if we have more than 8 people). We all need it for September so I was hoping if we made it a get together then we'd be able to add a little fun to an otherwise sometimes not fun requirement. August 13 & 15th. If interested please message me.

If you dont mind me asking, what was your university average, and your average in the bio/chem/math prereq?

Hey everyone! I applied to Humber 2nd entry, Queen's, York, and U of T. So far York and Queen's have told me I'm missing 1/2 credit in Anatomy. Luckily I've already been accepted to Humber, and today I got my acceptance to U of T. I am ecstatic about that! I have an honours degree in psychology (BSc) with a high B+ overall and an A in my last 2 years. I have no work experience, and have been on Working Holiday in Australia. I also have strong references for the U of T application. The only other program I am anxious to hear from is UNB, as my family lives in that part of the country. Good luck to everyone and I hope this post was helpful to someone!

Congrats! What was your final year average as that is what u of t uses?

i also called and was told they actually will me sending the majority of acceptance this april and now when i see only 2 weeks left?geezzzzz it drives me nuts that they give us all diff info and now am so worried
