I currently have a BS.. and i have been looking into programs for a BSN. I have found that this would be the best path to take. However, I am working a full time job now and I hate the idea of quitting. I have bills to pay, I am not married and am not interested in seeking any financial support from a man I am dating. I feel like I am not left with alot of options. Any ideas as to what i could possibly do? I live in the Houston area and so far with research there is nothing at night that is offered? Is quitting my current job really the only option?

I am also taking the accelerated second degree route. Because of the intensity of the time frame, I believe you will have to quit your job. Sorry, good luck.

There were some that worked, but NOT full time. It is possible but your grades might suffer as a result.

I'm finishing up an accelerated program. I have worked a little bit, but the program was intense. I have found that working nights at the hospital allowed me some down time to study. Good luck!

Have you considered online schools?
I have a BS and I work full time as well. I also have a mortgage, two kids, day care bills, work benefits, etc. In short, no way I can quit and I have no intentions of doing so. I just got into an ADN program at my local CC. After I finish I plan to use an online school like Excelsior to bridge RN to MSN.
BUT, I am aware that the entry criteria for their online ADN program is to have completed 50% of an actual classroom program. If the going gets rough and I have to shift gears, this is my next best option.
