Accelerated Programs and Licensing

Hello! I will be earning my BSN through an accelerated nursing program at an accredited university in another state. Just wondering if there are people here who got their California nursing licenses after attending an accelerated program in a state other than California. Were there any special challenges associated with getting your license? Did it go smoothly? Thanks....

HI, I am applying to an accelerated program in another state also. It is accredited by the NLN and all other normal accrediations and allows for the RN exam and you earn a normal BSN so I don't see why it should be a problem. But hey, if California has a problem, than they will just lose me as a working nurse. Too bad for them. Frankly, I'm sick of all the extra hoops you have to jump through in CA to get anything accomplished. I'm planning on going into the Army Nurse Corps and all they care about is the bSN and the NLN accred.

There is no issue if it is a fuuly accredited program at a university that is accelerated. If I remember correctly with the school that you are at, you will have no issues at all.
