Accelerated Pathway to the MSN program at Thomas Jefferson

Published

Regarding the Accelerated Pathway to the MSN program at Thomas Jefferson, how long does it take to get the BSN? One year or two years? Can you work as RN when you get BSN and pursue your MSN while you are working? Will you get MSN credits when you get your BSN?

Thanks!

anyone else apply for the 3rd review period heard anything yet?

I got a letter from them saying that they recieved my stuff and I'd be notified by 6/15 but I haven't heard a darn thing from them since then. I'm really nervous though. Does anyone know just how competitive t program is? I've been trying to find an average GPA/average admissions criteria type thing online but I can't find anything. I've been rejected by a few PA programs because I have no clinical experience except for shadowing an NP and molecular biology research. I have a 3.9 and a 1400 on my gre's...I'm just praying that's enough to get me in somewhere and hopefully its TJU!

With your GPA and GRE, you should have no problem getting in IF there's a spot available. I think that that would be your only problem.

they told me i'd hear something by april 15... i haven't heard anything yet.

Genu9ine......they told me I'd hear by today as well and still no word yet. It sucks but I'm glad to know I'm not the only one in that boat.

yeah, well at this point i've already decided to go somewhere else lol.

Hello, DreamerRN,

I was just accepted for the APW program. How was the program?? I am moving up to PA from Florida for a new experience. I don't know anyone there and Im concerned about housing and a bunch of other stuff. I would love any advice you have for me as for as the program, housing, etc.

Thank You

PeaceSL & Genu9ine,

Regarding APW NCLEX pass rate, their pass rate is included with the Traditional BSN. APWs and Traditionals take the same core nursing classes together except the one MSN course required for APWs. I highly recommend Jefferson.

Best wishes!

Hello Dreamer-RN,

Im still trying to get use to this system. Its unfortunate that I cant send private messages yet :( I was trying to find a way to send you my email or something of that nature so that I can speak with you more about the housing options and other questions that I have.

One general question is when I was doing my undergrad at USF, I was able to register for all the classes, so I have the same mindset and I was registering for the classes for this program. Do we have to register for the classes or do they automatically register us for the courses??

Thank you so much for sharing the info that you know with me.
