Accelerated BSN at UNF and JU

I have applied to the Accelerated BSN program at both UNF and JU for summer '08. Has anyone heard good or bad feedback for either program? Is anyone currently attending either program and would like to give their opinion about what they feel is special about their program? I have had an interview already with JU and now waiting for an interview invite from UNF:bugeyes:. I would like to be well informed before I make a choice, if I have a choice. :wink2: Good luck to all that are still waiting on letters.

Hi,

Yes I am from Gainesville. I have only been to Jacksonville twice and don't really know the area at all. I will come there sometime next week to see about housing, financial aid, etc. I received our packet from Chris yesterday. I need to get all of the stuff done. Are you attending the orientation? I plan to attend. From reading other peoples posts, I think we have class mon-thurs which make me very happy; I can hopefully go home on the weekends. Also we don't have classes the first 3 weeks of August. I really like our schedule when I compare it with other schools! Anyways I hope everything works out great. Have you heard a lot about the program?

I am in Gainesville as well. I do plan on attending orientation. I have been contacting the financial aid and admissions office to figure out how to pay for everything. Yea i agree, I am loving the schedule as well. I just met someone in the program now through a friend and I know someone else that got accepted into the same program.

Well how are they liking the program? Have you figured out housing and everything?....

They said they really like the program and she said it does get tough at times just like any nursing program, but everything is doable. I still don't know what im doing about housing, but I have a friend sending me information on different apartment buildings. I still have been trying to contact the financial aid office to see how everything will be paid for.

yeah same here im doing the regualar trasnsfer bsn and i cant get in contact with me fin. aid advisor person she never answers the phone....... but im thinking of staying n campus i dont know yet

yeah neither can i, it's very frustrating.... my original plan was to stay on campus; but i think if i live off campus i would have a nicer place and save money too. i emailed chris for roommates so i have to see. it's so hard to move and get everything done; but i need to get with it, may's approaching so fast!

exactly but i did get in contact with them my mom had to go up there to speak with them and for summer i have to find a private loan

I have been calling financial aid all week and leaving messages with no luck. If anyone gets any info on financial aid or housing please let me know. We only have about 3 weeks to get everything done : /

Does anyone have any information about the ABSN program at JU??? I was accepted at JU and FGCU. I am contemplating between a one year and two year program. Any advice will help!! THANK YOU!
