That sounds like it would be somewhat hard to prove? although I guess you could be prescribed pain medicine and be impaired at work. I'm more hung up on the "misuse" part.

They don't have to prove anything. Sadly this happens to nurses taking a controlled substance as directed and who aren't impaired by it.

Get a letter from the prescriber saying you are fit to still practice nursing. You could also take a drug screen proving you are at the therapeutic level. (Ask a provider to order one for you or use a lab testing company)
I am on suboxone and that is fine and allowed as well. What are you taking and who is saying that about you? Don't admit to anything!!

That is not true. Nurses can and do work while taking prescribed controlled substances everyday. There absolutely needs to be proof.

I know too many people who were taking a prescription med appropriately and were reported and are in a monitoring agreement. It's sadly true. You can take a controlled substance while working but you can absolutely get reported and found guilty.

I have never read an order that states bc this nurse take ***controlled substance *** prescribed by a Doctor, He will now be placed on probation/consent. They must have done something at work.

Nope. This may be the case in your state but not in other states. A lot of people are in a monitoring agreement for bogus reasons
