ABSN Pace University Fall 2022!!

Nursing Students School Programs

Hi All!

Figured I'd start a thread for the aspiring Fall 2022 cohort! I haven't seen one as of yet but better late than never. Is anyone applying to Pace for the Fall 2022 semester in NYC? I'm very nervous, I've reached out for recommendations and am hoping to have my personal statement along with my application submitted by the end of week or in the next week and a half latest. Ah it's nerve-racking, I've been chatting nonstop to family about it and they are sick of me at this point so figured I'd come here to get out my nervous jitters!  Where are you all along in the process and are you applying to any other schools?

For those who got accepted already, did they ask you to submit your outstanding prereqs? I got an email a week ago asking for my Fall 2021 grades and I am curious as to when ill hear back with a decision

I got waitlisted from Stony brook so I am really counting on Pace! The major thing leaning me towards Stony brook was the closeness and tuition. I wonder if Pace gives money.

Ugh, I should have applied earlier! I attended an info session and was told that applications wouldn't even be reviewed until ALL prerequisites and other components were complete. It's news to me that people could still apply without completed prerequisites smh.

I think that you can submit your application but they won't consider you until you send in your current grades.

All of my prerequisites were completed when I applied to Pace back in October so that may be why they reviewed and accepted me already.

Reading from other forums and contacting a ton of Pace ABSN students, Pace does not give any money. Everyone usually funds their tuition through loans (private or public). I got accepted to SBU and I think I'm choosing them over Pace. It is further for me but much cheaper

Congrats!! Both seem like amazing programs, you will do great wherever you decide to go. Is Stony Brook more competitive than Pace typically?

Thank you!! They are both great programs with similar admission requirements so in regards to competitiveness there is not much difference, at least in my opinion. Stony Brook does interview so that adds in a factor of competition but I know Pace used to as well. It really came down to nitty gritty details when deciding between schools because I truly love both programs.

No, I submitted everything all at once. And by then I'd already completed the prereqs.

Hiii everyone ! I applied to Pace for Fall 2022 as well I applied back in August I believed but I just finished my last pre req a couple days ago, I'm so anxious waiting to hear back Pace is definitely one of my top schools.

I also applied to SBU (got rejected), NYU, Mercy, Barry Uni, Felician Uni, and NSU. I did get an email saying they are reviewing my application and that they received all my materials so I hope ill hear back soon!

Yes I am applying for Fall! I was accepted at another school (CMSV) but deferred to the Fall semester and am hoping to get into Pace instead. So luckily I already had most of my application together! The only thing I have left to work on is my resume which is in serious need of an upgrade.

Under any pretenses DO NOT GO TO CMSV!!!! I used to go there for undergrad they just care about the money, they are super unorganized 0/10. Highly do not recommend.

ugh I know, even just applying I could tell how disorganized they are. I was willing to deal with that because the LIC campus is extremely convenient for me, and now I don't even know if that campus is an option anymore (doesn't sound like it will be). Very frustrating. REALLY hoping I get into Pace!

Is CMSV that bad? I have not heard one good thing about the school.

In addition, is anyone applying to LIU? I find that their process is also very unorganized. I submitted my application and did not receive an email or any guidance as to where to send my transcripts, personal statement, letters of rec, etc...
