ABSN Duke Fall 2010

Hi All!

I have decided to take the plunge and leave my career as a mental health therapist to gain a BSN in Nursing and hopefully move straight into MSN program. Is anyone else applying to Duke in the Fall??:yeah:

lol. this is clearly pointless. I'm thinking back to "interview notification day"... we were all on this board like vultures on roadkill. :sstrs:

I couldn't wait anymore as I'm on my way to work. I called to find out when we would find out so I'm not checking my ipod at work every 2 seconds. She gave me my answer over the phone.

I'm in!!!! Best day ever!

Now off to wait on old rich white people, but I don't care! I'm going to Duke!

(also, I would avoid everyone inundating her with calls right now as she is actively entering everything in the system . Try and space it out if you can :) )

Annnnd I was so excited I locked myself out of my apt, had to have my bf drive home from work to let me in only to get a call from work that I don't need to come in.

I assume silence means no one else heard anything?

Congratulations!!! Of course after reading your post I couldn't help but try to call myself but it went to voicemail. I'm going to try to refrain from calling again and just continue checking every 2 seconds :) I'm checking my email and the site where I view my application... that IS the site where they're going to notify us.. right?

I'm trying to be good and not call (doesn't hurt that I'm in the middle of microbiology and it would probably be considered rude if I busted out my phone and had a conversation right now) but I gotta admit, I'm checking email and the applyyourself site religiously hoping for something... anything...

Yes they send us an email and notify us on the apply yourself application website.

I seriously don't know what to do with myself now.

Neither. I called the office wondering approximately what time we would be notified as I was going to be away from access to email for a bit, and didn't want to be too anxious if I didn't have to (like if they weren't going to be done with everything until tomorrow). I was told that 1) most everything would be done today but no time was specifically mentioned and 2) she can just tell me over the phone right then. I was a little nervous it was a "no" and I was going to be all embarrassed, but it wasn't!

They aren't calling people at all, and I think I just called at the right time where she had a moment to let me know the decision.
