About a LTC MD who is BAD NEWS

The last LTC I worked at had a Medical Director (MD). He would come to work in military fatigues and tell the nursing staff that he was a Colonial in the military and had to catch a plane at the Air Force Base to go to Washington to see the President of the United States. Other times he came in with a Jacket and shirt with a CIA emblem and flashed the nurses an FBI badge with his name and picture on it claiming to have been sent to the facility by the FBI to keep an eye on things. He even had his Medical Assistant at his private practice answer his cell phone as "Officer Jenny" and tell the nurses who called that the MD was on an FBI mission. The MD would even email the nurses that he was unavailable due to a mission he was on. To really keep us in tears he told us that he was dying of pancreatic cancer. Then there was the time where one of the employees had to bail the MD out of jail for beating his wife. One day I got fed up and called the Board of Medical Quality Assuarance. I was shocked to find out that this MD was a convicted felon, currently on 2 probations, 1 was for a felony the other for beating his wife. I called his wife who told me she was his X-Wife and said that the MD was a pathological liar and gambler. I guess that the MD was in the gambling halls when we were trying to get hold of him with his cell phone turned off so that he didnt get distracted while rolling the dice. Turned out he was not in the FBI, military, CIA etc (like they dont take convicted felons). He signed off physcials on employees he never examined & diagnosed someone with a fatal illnees that they did not have. He also took 3 Klonopins and 2 vicodins a day that were not prescribed for him. If he ever did return a call his speech would be all slurred and he would be taking about being shot at on an FBI mission. The owner of the LTC where this MD is over about 20 of them:o is aware, but doesnt care.

dr. demento must of rented it before you did the movie was called "catch me if you can" this doc was such a looser that he imitated the character in real life. more evidence that this doctor is mentally incompetent. :uhoh3:

*note i'm not at all calling you a liar, but u gotta admit you wouldn't believe it if your weren't living it.

i had 2 witnesses write to the board of medical quality assurance about dr. jerko and had even sent a picture of him posing with them to prove that he knows who they are. i sent in the medical report in his hand writting and his signature stating someone had a fatal disease (and they do not) as well as an email from his computer and his email address stating he was in camarillo on an fbi mission. i gave the police and the medical board a picture of him in an airforce uniform with wings on. the board of medical quality assurance probation officer was totally rude to me when i called and spoke to her on the phone about it refused to meet with me until i called her supervisor in sacramento, then her and her supervisor met me and claim to be taken the report seriously. i mean he was a convicted felon, then allowed to practice medicine, then beats up his wife and had to go to anger management and still allowed to practice medicine, and now this and still practices medicine. its just a matter of proving all of this. he did far worse than what i am describing here. his employer admitted knowing all of this crap and said well we told him not to wear the uniforms on the job anymore and he is hard to get hold of lots of complaints about that and he did call a department head to bail him out of jail.

are you freakin kidding me???? one word freak. i can't believe that this is going on and that nobody cares?? diagnosing people with fatal diseases that they don't have. that is horrible. i am glad that you have taken the appropriate steps now lets just hope that somebody listens and does something about it!!!!:( :(

That is hilarious! Where did they find this guy amyway? Is he affiliated with a hospital? Can't one of his peers do something about him? :chuckle

we both worked at the nursing home together. he was the medical director and i was the staff developer. i have made a lot of complaints so far havent gotten anyone to do anything about it. the medical board is still investigating. i cannot believe that a physician would behave in such an undignified manner. those of us who know him believe he is mentally ill. he was nice and polite but would ramble on about fbi missions, he told another rn that he put a satellite dish over my house. his x wife (who he still lives with and is an rn) said she knows he is a pathological liar but just goes along with all of his stories, cause he hands his pay check over to her (when he isnt abusing her). very dysfunctional. :chuckle :rotfl:

A Doctor taking action against another doctor? Kind of hard to find one willing. Unless of course you find one who thinks he's superman then he would be more than willing! hehehe

Maybe the local news would love to hear about this one!

the headlines would read: nursing home chain shows their concern for elders by hiring an x convict and spouse abuser as their medical director[:o :uhoh3: quote=michelle126]maybe the local news would love to hear about this one!

We could use him here in Las Vegas.

I was serious about calling the news....maybe some military veterns would love to hear about this guy impersonating them...the residents and their families would love to know they have a nut job taking care of them..

i should try your idea. he needs to suffer consequences for his behavior. according to the board of medical quality assurance here in california seems like he will have to commit another crime before they will step in. of course they have to investigate my complaint before they make a decision. they just were not excited about the fact that he impersonated an air force officer, the fbi, etc. stating "well theres no law against someone wearing a uniform you know people wear foot ball shirts all the time".this bad docotor sat around and told his staff, the patients, and the pharmacy reps he was in the fbi. until i stepped in they all believe him and i am sure some of them still do. i think that his conduct was extremly unprofessional. the medical assitant and one of the medical practices he worked at told me he was fired b/c a patient was suing the place on account of him. like he admitted a patient to a hospital and never checked up on him. when i made my complaints the medical board started interogated me like i was the criminal. i am standing my ground. :uhoh3:

That is spooky and bizarre, but be careful. If someone is capable of playing out such delusions, your safety may be jeopardized. And, you are at high risk for a slander suit. Be very, very careful, and keep an attorney's number handy.

:rotfl: tell the weirdo that colon powell just placed a call to his military superior and sent word that he (the doctor) was to report to afghanistan in 2 days at 0600. he would need to bring one hand pistol, one automatic weapon and two pair of underwear - nothing else.!! he was to report to a captain kangaroo (or just make up a name) and tell no one where he was going...keep your fingers crossed and hope he takes the bait. type it up and make it look official. he'll either get tied up in the airport with weapons or he'll realize that you all know he's a fruit loop. :rotfl: :chuckle undefined

bwaaaaaahahahaha !!!!! :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :balloons:

love it. :D
