Had an interview today for a position in my hospital's SICU/MICU when I grad. in may...........got hired right on the spot......they take 1 new grad a year out of about 300 applicants; I didn't even have to put in a resume, that rocks!!! Get my pay rate offer tomorrow..... It's an 18 bed unit that routinely sees many cardiac related pt's, many respiratory failure pt's, and they have a RotoProne bed for the ARDS pt's, from what they tell me they've put more pt's in it than UC medical center one of our large area teaching hospitals has put in there's just since last year and have only had 1 pt that didn't make it, they said they also get a lot of CRRT/CVVH pt's as well and the nurses set up and monitor the machine themselves........I'm pumped!!
