A nurse looking for a job

Thank you all for the reply.

You can pick about any state that you wish. How long ago did you complete your program? Were you on an F1 visa? Did you take advantage of the OPT that was available for you to sign up for before you actually graduated?

Fill me on some more info, then I can steer you in the right direction.

Also, what type of Visa are you currently on?

I highly appreciate your helps! Have a good weekend!

As soon as you find a sponsor for your green card, you will need to wait 90 days once the petition is submitted to be able to legally begin work. This is when you will receive your EAD letter.

Big mistake by not applying for the OPT, and unfortunately that had to be done before you graduated from school.

I would recommend going to some of the bigger teaching hospitals in the areas where you wish to work. They are usually quite receptive to taking care fo the petitioning for you.

Good luck.......................please let me know if you need anymore assisitance................

I would recommend that you take you local licensing exam, but the choice is yours. You need to apply to a specific state where you wish to work, but after you graduate, for licensure. Once they accept your credentials, they will send you an ATT letter (Authority to Test), which you need to have before registereing for the NCLEX exam. That is all that there is to it.

Good luck................ :balloons:
