We have a resident who constantly makes allegations against the staff--they were rough, they through me in bed, they yelled at me. She is care planned to always have two staff members and has a care plan that indicates she has accusatory behaviors.
I've only been at the faciity for 2 weeks and she's made 3 allegations. None of them were true but, frankly, I'm tired of investigating things I know are preposterous.
Do any of you have any suggestions?

I'm sure you've probably already covered all of this but my 2 cents anyways...
1. Psych eval? Med adjustment (antidepressant/antianxiety meds)
2. Try to staff with her "favorite" staff
3. Careplan the multiple accusations with an outline of what would trigger the need for an actual investigation vs investigating repetitive non-sense
4. Can you "suggest" to res/family that maybe she would be happier down at XYZ facility? LOL
She was at the XYZ facility and apparently did the same thing there. If I just had one person like this I could cope but I have 4.....

We do 2 person for every care. No one enters their room alone.
Oh and document the hell out of her behavior.

Mentally make it fun. 'Chile crazy ole suzy making another one again' just say that in your head. Have fun with it while you investigate and document.
