Yes, you are definately correct about all the bickering and such that goes on here.
There is also a TON of support being given, information and new ideas being exchanged, and jokes shared.
We are all human beings. (Very opinionated, strong willed, and hard working human beings.) Not everyone is going to believe in the same things nor share the exact same thoughts on a subject. Some topics are bound for heated discussion.
I like it......sometimes it's very, very entertaining------ both as a casual observer or A PARTICIPANT. We have enough to be serious about at work......can't we be ourselves when we come home???

Dear caregivers, That is what we are !!! I sit here and read the posts where we are fighting and bickering amoung ourselves concerning who's more professional, who's a real nurse, who makes this, who makes that and it breaks my heart. Well, who is she, you might ask? I am a fellow nurse who does not like to see her sisters of mercy do this. I don't intend to offend anyone but in the scheme of things all of this is irrelavent. As i said we are all caregivers, each one with something valuable to contribute. Th first time i heard the expression "nurses eat their own" was on this BB, and i was so shocked. I love nursing regardless of the paycheck, i love my fellow human beings. We act this way towards each other, then we are shocked when other people do. Prehaps i am looking at the world through rose colored glasses, but i don't think it has to be this way. I always thought that it took a special, caring, dedicated person to be a nurse, maybe i was wrong. It's not about how many initials are behind your name or how much you make, we are all doing our best to improve or restore health to a patient and that's the BOTTOM LINE.Forgive me if i'm out of line, I do love this BB, a place to talk with fellow nurses, to vent or whatever, but i just dislike that way you guys can belittle each others area in this field when the GOAL is the same for all of us YOURS IN SISTERHOOD NUR20
