I'm a senior nursing student working PT this summer as a sec/tech. I've learned a lot, but I'll tell you what, I can't wait until its over. I have never in my life seen so much abuse of power, and lack of thanks and appreciation as I have over the last weeks. The work is long and hard, and the money is ridiculous. So Secretaries, Techs, & CNA's, thank you for everything you do. Thank you for the putting in the long hours of back-breaking work. Thank you to the nurses that don't treat us like we're idiots, and not worthy of a simple please and thank you.

/end rant :wink2:

I love my aides. I buy them dinner at least once a week and have taken them out to lunch before work. There are times I would have sunk without their help. Good aides are hard to find, great ones are darn near impossible. I treasure the ones I have.

I love my secretaries!! I work overnight shifts and it really stinks when we do not have that overnight secretary or aid...it is wonderful to have them!

I was also a nurse tech before I became an RN and understand the work so I appreciate it when we have them.

I agree- heartfelt thanks to Techs/CNAs & Secretaries! :bowingpur
