A Filipino RN wanting to get a California RN license

Hi. I just got here in California 5 months ago and I wanted to pursue my nursing career here but first I need to be a licensed California RN. I'm an RN in Philippines with 2 years experience in a clinical setting. I've already submitted my application to the CA-BRN 5 months ago and I still haven't gotten any response regarding my eligibility to take the test except for telling me that I needed to submit more documents from my school. I am also aware that because of the concurrency issue I might have to go back to school but finding a school that accepts foreigner students to take some classes (like MS and OB) is hard unless you are willing to pay at least $10,000. I am wondering what path should I take? Shall I continue going on the RN path or shall I go the LVN path? I just really want to become a nurse because I enjoy being a nurse but now it seems like it'a going to take some time before I could become one. Suggestions and recommendations are very much appreciated.

There are dozens of threads in nurse registration forum under world of your colleagues in the same predicament. Extremely few have found schools to solve the deficiencies and those that have paid a lot of $$$
