I freq post on the blue side. I've been sick for a while so cooking is really an effort for me. They know that I've been trying to clear out my pantry for a some time. Today, I'm tossing 2 cannisters of outdated panko bread crumbs (2017/18) and a box mac & cheese. These were items I bought when I WAS feeling better and had some better endurance & stamina to do some cooking. Too much effort now.
But I still keep on finding stuff. I'm fearful to even BEGIN my spices. I've had some since I moved in, like 30 years!! Can't remember when I last used some.
Have a lot outdated baking goods. It's sad that I can't even donate them due to the expiration. What a waste of money. I'd be comfortable using some of items, but I certainly don't need to bake and the EAT stuff. I need to lose weight - not an option. I am struggling along.

If you can't remember when you last used them toss them out. Then when you feel like cooking again just buy what you need.

I was getting ready to grind a new spice mix this am and realized that many of my herbs and spices were stale or outdated. I usually go through them prior to the Holidays but since we weren't entertaining this year I didn't think about it. Now it's all cleaned up, old stale spices thrown out, new added in and I am ready to start grinding my Turkish, Persian, tex-mex and Tuscan mixes.
