A&P 1 and 8-week hybrid Government class?

Published

Hello there! I'm trying to get into a very competitive ADN program and I took Government 14 years ago but did not finish so I have an F on my transcript. The nursing advisor told me to retake a similar government class to replace the F. I'm already enrolled in A&P 1 this semester and Psychology. I found a hybrid 8-week government class with a good review for the professor. I could either drop A&P and keep Psychology, which after the 8 week government class then I'd just have Psychology, or I could drop Psychology and keep A&P but I'm a little concerned it might be too much. After the 8 weeks it'll be great bc I'd just have A&P, but I'm worried the first 8 weeks with the government class might be a little hectic? I work full time and have 2 kids. I took Chemistry and Sociology in the Spring and got A's. they look at GPA over the actual classes and I had a 3.0 thanks to the F in government when I went to school 14 years ago and now I have a 4.0 since I've been back, I don't want to jeopardize my GPA either. Any thoughts? Do you think A&P and a 8 week government class is doable? Thanks for any responses!

I've heard not to take A&P during the summer, but history? I think that'd be okay. And if you're in Texas you need 4 history/govt classes anyways.

I would be taking it this semester (Fall) with the 8-week hybrid government class.

And I'm in Missouri so they only require one:) At least for ADN.
