A&P Textbook - Should I keep it?

Published

I'm an adult student returning to take my prereqs for Nursing. I have a BA and an MBA, and my MO after every semester has always been to sell back my books.

I'm planning on taking the HESI A2 in the upcoming Spring semester (it is the required test for my school's Nursing program). We are required to take the: Math, A&P, Grammar, Reading Comprehension and Vocab sections.

To study I have:

Anatomy & Physiology - Made Easy!

Barron's Nursing School Entrance Exams

McGraw Hill's Nursing Entrance Exams

Evolve Reach Admission Assessment Exam Review (published by HESI)

I got an A in both A&P I & II. I also still have access to the student textbook study site.

That was the background, here are my questions:

Should I keep my textbook, or would I be ok with the above review books?

How necessary is an A&P textbook after actually becoming a nurse?

PLEASE let me know! Thank you in advance!:D

^^^this. the full name of the class is pathophysiology. its usually not a pre req. i kept my AP book even though i also got an A in both AP1 and AP2. not sure if itll help me out during nursing school, but ill find out soon. i start my first semster in 2 weeks.

Specializes in Labor and Delivery.

Yes it's pathophysiology and many schools include as some form of nursing class. My school it was an upper level pre-req for nursing. It covers some of the regukar physiology and then the pathophysiology including a lot pharmacology which of course we also take pharm again as a nursing class second semester. I have nursing assessment this semester and our prof actually required us to have a patho book for reference so I am very glad I kept mine. I've also loned it out to my cousin and grandma so thats how much I like it as a reference book :)
