A&P 2

Published

I'm beginning A&P 2 tomorrow! I made an 88 (solid B) in part 1. How does part 2 compare to part 1? Harder, easier?? Any advice?

I wouldn't say 2 is easier, but for me it was more enjoyable. Finally I got to learn about "the cool" systems of the body (because the skeletal and nervous systems are so uncool, you know :sarcastic:). It's less about memorizing and more about understanding, which possibly makes it more difficult. My biggest problems were the endocrine system (hormones, hormones, hormones) and fluid and electrolytes (I'm still a little fuzzy on the hypertonic/hypotonic thing). The cardiovascular system wasn't too hard for me to learn; I used a couple of YouTube videos (I think one was a rap) to help me memorize blood flow into and out of the heart. It's just a lot to grasp. Study hard! (I barely made an A in 1 and made a solid A in 2. I had the same professor for both, so 2 was in fact easier or I finally got used to my professor's teaching and testing style.)

A&P 2 was just like A&P 1 for me. More/different body systems. I got a slightly better grade in A&P 2 than 1 (A- in A&P1, A in A&P 2).

As for me, I thoroughly enjoyed A and P 2 so much more. It's still memorization but not as much. The systems just put everything into perspective. Good luck!!

Like Nurse2b7337 said, I also enjoyed A&P2 more than 1. A&P1 was all just memorizing bones, body parts, etc. A&P2 is more interesting and shows you how the body works (reproductive system, endocrine system, nervous system.) Although it is a little harder, I still enjoyed it more.
