Hi, I was just wondering what your schedule for A &P is like. If you have taken this already, what worked best for you? By asking this I mean..Did you take Lecture 2 days a week, 3 days a week? Labs at my school are ALWAYS only once a week, so thers no wiggle room there..
What type of schedule did you find most helpful? How was the class paced?
Any input would be greatly appreciated. I would like to make sure I choose a class schedule that would allow me to retain the info greatest and allow for adequate study time for each new chapter, etc.
Best,
Emily

I took a&p1 during a 6 week (4 days a week) accelerated course and my brain was fried. then a&p 2 was a regular semester course 2x week lab 1x week. I feel like a learned much more things clicked and stuck in my mind. If you are not rushed take a longer, slower course to allow time to digest the organ systems and understand how they all work together.
Thanks for your advice!

I am registered for fall to take A&P 1 with the correlating lab. Currently my lecture is a 3 credit hour course on M,W,F, from 9-950 am. My lab is one day/week from 12-145 pm. the way my schedule works its better from me to have the hour class 3x/week rather than the three hour class once or twice/ week. I mainly had to put whatever fit around other courses. I have taken a class like this before and I think it is better to spread it out through the week to avoid overload. lol Good Luck to You!
I was thinking along the same way RNinprogress, I think now I have it 2 x a week but may try for 3 x if my sched allows.

i took ap1 and an online course... the ap monopolized the majority of my time, but i got a B in both classes... i had lecture 2 days a week and lab 1 day a week. I took ap2 with micro and that was even MORE work (that was 5 days a week), but i did well there too, again receiving a B in each class... my a&p's were pretty fast paced and intense, but it just takes some discipline and dedication and it can be done... oh and flash cards will be a life saver :)
Tnt, thank you. I have an A&P coloring book, but will look into flash cards. You mean pre-made ones right? I REALLY want to suceed in this class. I will be taking Intermediate Algebra and A&P 1 ONLY.. So I'm hoping that gives me flexibility to focus and do well in each one!

I would recommend that you take it during a regular 16 week schedule. You will more likely get an A that way. I will tell you that this is a really tough class, but it is definitely not doable. Just remember that hard work pays off. BTW it doesn't matter if you take it 2 or 3 times a week.
