That is a tough one. Since the only other levels of organisation are too small or too big for collagen fibers(like molecule or organism), I think your answer has to be one the ones listed. My best guess is cell level, because it's part of connective tissue, which is made of of cells and matrix, and matrix breaks down into fibers and ground substance. To me, this puts it on the same level as cells. However, we studied fibers of connective tissue in the histology chapter, not the cell chapter. Let us know the answer!

I'm hoping someone can help me out with an a&p question that is on my take home test. Don't worry, its not cheating. :chuckle We are allowed to use every resource at our fingertips on the test. Also, we are collaberating our answers on saturday with some people from my class before the test is due next week. Its not a particularly hard test, but I really need to get a perfect score if at all possible, since I don't feel I did very well on last nights practical.
Anyway, here's the question:
The collagen fibers within a tendon or ligament belong to what level of organizarion:
a.cellular
b.tissue
c.organ
d.organ system
e.none of the above
My first thought is cellular, but since collagen is actually a protein, I thought it might technically be none of the above.
thanks for all help
