if an a&p professor uses ambiguous words to test us, how can i deal with, such as in a test, she thinks that "the'cis' side of golgi apparatus receives products from the endoplasmic reticulum" is right, but i think that "from the endoplasm reticulum" is not as accurate as from rough endoplasm reticulum? in addition, when she thinks that "ionic bonds are those that electrons are completely lost or gained", but i think "completely" is confused.
how can i deal with such a testing style?
although i know we should follow a professor's style, it is hard to know what the professor wants, isn't it?
any suggesion will be greatly appreciated.
thanks

If there is anything about an instructor's teaching style that you find you cannot adapt to, you have the option of dropping the class and retaking it with another teacher.
Hi, caliotter3, thank you very much for the reply!!
Do you mind if answer me more questions?
1.How to know whether a student can adapt to an instructor or not? I mean, what if it is my problem, such as overattentive and stubborn? There are other classmates in the class, but their responses are not as strong as mine.
2.If you have an instructor who seems not your style, what would you like to do?
Thank you again, caliotter3.

i think what the above poster advised is good, cause the science classes are a big deal and you want to do well on them. if you don't think that you can adapt then i wouldn't chance it personally. maybe, during lecture notes look for what you think are discrepancies on what the topic is or speak with her after class about the test and what you feel you were right on-with notes and textbook in hand. perhaps she can explain to you why she feels you were incorrect or better yet credit you for the right answer! :)
best of luck

I think you should go to your professor and have her explain her reasoning to you. Maybe that will give you a better understanding of her thought process so you can see where she is coming from with this and you can adapt your thinking accordingly. If you still don't "click" with each other, then drop the class and re-take it with another professor.
