A&P II at Northlake or Mountainview

I'm trying to decide if I should take A&P II at Northlake or Mountainview college this fall in the evening. I took it at Mountainview this spring and it was a joke. Everything we learned we learned on our own because the lectures were on tape and the lab was no help at all. So, I'm thinking of taking it at Northlake because it's closer. Problem is I've heard it's just as crazy there! And, as much as I don't want to drive all the way to MV I at least have that program "figured out" - got an A out of it.

Can anyone tell me what to expect at Northlake CC?

I took A&P II at Northlake. However, it was in the day, and it was 8-weeks long (beginning right after spring break, continuing until May 8). It was with Dr. Kelly, I think that was his name. I've also had Wheeler before, and he was good. I liked it--challenging enough to feel I was learning something. This was in 2003. I got my A. It did get a little hectic as I was working 45-48 hours per week at my job. Then I took Micro with Dr. Su.

I'm starting the Nursing Program at Northlake this fall. I'm taking speech at NLC this summer.

I'm sure that if you are determined enough you can and will make an A wherever you take it. I found A&P II to be easier than the first course. I'm definately keeping my textbooks in case I need them this fall.

Are you applying for Spring 2005 at Northlake/El Centro?

The plan right now is to take A&P II at night in the fall. Maybe Micro in the spring at night, then whatever other classes I can take without actually jumping into the nursing program full time.

I guess I'll take it at NL since I work at 114 and MacArthur. It's just too close to pass up.

Hey Ned, I understand what you are saying. I took Micro and A&P 1 and 2 at Mountain View over a year ago. I don't miss Dr. Pierce in the least. I am starting my second semester of the RN program at El Centro this Fall. What school are you planning to attend? I believe North Lake is going to be the new satellite nursing program for El Centro since Brookhaven is starting their own program. I would have liked to go to North Lake myself since I live a lot closer than downtown Dallas. However, since I am already going to El Centro I will just finish up where I know some of the staff and what to expect.
