A & P II Lab- 4 Weeks?

Published

Hi everyone,

My lab partner and I are registering for A & P II this summer, but there are only two options to chose from and neither are ideal. Can someone who has taken this class already tell me which of these they would choose and why:

1. Take a summer A & P II course that is a moderate length of time (8 weeks)- BUT, the instructor has bad reviews.

2. Take a summer A & P II course with an instructor that has decent reviews- BUT, it is only 4 weeks long.

I can teach myself for the most part if we end up with a questionable instructor (I am doing that now in A & P I), but I am not sure I could do it in 4 weeks. I was told A & P II is body systems (putting it all together) and requires serious studying, even more so than A & P I. Is this true? Anything other advice/info is much appreciated!

Thanks!

Sorry, I don't mean to ask again, but surely someone here has taken the A & P II lab and could tell me if they felt it was possible to do in four weeks time? Or even in eight weeks with an instructor that was not familiar with the subject? My lab partner and I have been trying to ask around, but everyone we know is where we are in the program or not even done with chemistry yet. For my financial aid, I have been told to try to get my schedule set by tomorrow afternoon and I was just approved for my tuition payment today, so I don't have the normal time frame that other students do to make decisions. Thanks in advance!

I don't have a great answer for you because our school does Anatomy and Physiology separately. I cannot imagine learning either of those courses in just 4 weeks. Even 8 weeks would really be pushing it. If I had to choose, I would choose the bad instructor with the longer timeframe. A&P is such a critical subject.

WOW tough decision...a condensed class of 8 weeks is hard I could not imagine going to 4 weeks. I am guessing that you will be going 4 days a week for several hours each day? Is this an in-person class or online?

I'm taking A&P II right now and while it is a lot to learn, I personally would choose the 4 week course just to have a decent professor. It will take a lot of studying, just like A&P I, but having a professor who clearly covers the course work is always important. It isn't necessarily harder than A&P I, it just covers different body systems. I'm taking a 4 week microbiology course over the summer so you're not alone!

i took A+P I+II in the summer, in 10 weeks....4 days a week....i would think yours would be at 4 if not 5 days a week....DO YOU HAVE any background, general bio, etc? i did so it wasnt a big deal.....if not, "clear the decks" and give it your best shot!
