Nope, no list. For our exams, we are just told to know everything about everything that is in bold or italics for the lab sections that we covered. So, basically, I have to know them all.

It's a bummer, because for A&P II, we had lists for our midterm and final. And I know that they had them for the last A&P II class. I'm not sure why they did away with them for our class. Some student must have made a fuss about them. I have no idea why -- it just makes our life harder to NOT have a list. *sigh*

What is it that you have questions about the steps on? I hope you find your answers!

I GOT MY QUESTION ANSWERED....and imagine this on a rainy Monday morning  . He was very nice and polite about it...wonder what happened, even the premed student was nice today and we all had a great time in lab disecting that little piggy.

Wow what an experience that was, something that will stay with me forever.

We worked on one pig as groups of 4 and it really left an impression on me. We named ours....one girl became somewhat upset and had a hard time with the smell, surprisingly it didn't bother me. One girl in my group got all antsy when I started the cutting....she drove me crazy and I handed it over to her, she then handed it over to the doc who was in our group...he did a great job.

She didn't trust me but I would have done ok....Everyone should get a turn to cut anyway and the 4th person never wanted to cut anything. I stopped because I didn't want her freaking out t me as she became increasingly more and more nervous as I cut along. But it's ok, I learned enough, as long as I will be able to name the bloodvessels and other stuff.

Part of me should have told her to SHUT UP! So I am a littke mad at myself of letting her bully me out of it.

We will keep working on the pig for 2 more weeks and then have our labtest.

Just study hard and do your best, you will be ok.

I'm glad that you had a good experience with him! Whatever it was, I'm glad he finally was nice :)

I think there are people like that in every lab group. I just try to remember them, so I don't get them next time!

Unfortunately she sits next to me during lecture and our teacher put us in groups, we can't choose who we want to work with. She has already missed 2 lectures and one lab, she hasn't taken the first lecture test and will drop that one. Let's put it this way...she isn't going to walk out of there with an A. She is usually not focused and seems to have outside problems with family etc. she gets lost during lecture, interrupts me because she can't keep up with note taking etc. at least this is not detrimental to me since I have a recorder. She was in my micro class and it was the same thing she didnt sit near me then. I'll survive, I just need to keep my cool and not get upset about her. I can already see it...our teacher said that the veins on our pig weren't that good and we need to cut ours out so that our arteries (which are very nice) are more visible....we will have several pigs showing only the best examples of veins and arteries that he will use for our test. well when it was time for that yesterday everyone was in a hurry to leave, so I reminded them that the veins will be cut on Wednesday....I see myself doing it since they just seem to want to do the "Fun" part and not the "serious" work. I'll take the veins out first thing if they dont get going....It's like a circus and can get frustrating for the truly serious students. I'll keep demonstrating that I am serious....stick to what is important and follow the teachers directions and keep persisting if I need to have my questions answered. I think that's the kind of attitude they are looking for to be a :nurse:

Get this, the girl that made a fuss about me potentially cutting the pig the wrong way didn't show for lab today!!!!!!!! She keeps skipping lectures and labs!!!! Today we were supposed to continue working on our piggy but watched slides instead, so next Monday we will continue instead.

So far I think I am doing really well in lab....the problem and difficulty lies in the lecture part. We won't have our lecture test this coming Monday (thank God for that) but the following Friday with the lab right after that particular weekend.

Too many people aren't doing too well with the prerequisites at our school so from now on there will be various counselors and speakers in our Biospot study center promoting other programs. I am tired of hearing of how hard it is to get into nursing school and according to our teacher it has become much harder these last 3 years!!!!! Once again he said today that we need AT LEAST a 3.5 if we want to stand a chance!!!!! Including this one I have two more classes to go which won't be science classes.

On the positive side, I think I have found a really nice friend in my class. We stayed after class and went to the lab studying. We studied once before together. Yippee I may have found a great study buddy!!!!

I just got to hang in there.....and I hope so will everyone else

I was up all night last night studying for my lab midterm today (we only have two tests in lab -- the midterm and final, so each one counts for 15% of our grade).

It paid off!! I got the ONLY A in my class! Wahooooooo! Time to par-tay!

(And then start studying for my lecture test ::lol:: )

Hehe -- Thanks!

I had plans to have an 'adult beverage' to celebrate last night, but I was so tired I passed out after Grey's Anatomy. :D

You know, I am wondering where everybody is. Lately it's just been us posting:rolleyes:

Hey everyone! I am also in A&P II this semester. I am absolutely loving it!!! We have 7 lecture exams an d 2 lab exams. So far, we have had 2 lecture and 1 lab. I made a 95.2 on the Cardiovascular test, a 100 on the Blood test and a 101.7 on the 1st lab practical. We have a test Monday on the Lymphatics and immune system. I feel really good about it.

I'm a bit overwhelmed right now because it seems like all my instructors scheduled their exams at the same time, lol. I am also taking Microbiology, Principles of Nutrition, Spanish II, and Health, First Aid, and Safety. I am also a scholarship tutor at my campus. So, with all that, 3 children ages 7 and under and a house on the market, I'm surprised I am not sitting in a corner being spoon-fed baby food, lol.

I am applying for the nursing program in Fall 07. I wanted to start in the spring but it is a nights/weekends program and there is no way I can do it. My husband's schedule is too erratic. Oh well, It'll come soon enough.

Anyhow, I look forward to going through A&P II with ya'll!!!!! :)

I wonder how you do all that!!! You must have energy galore. I know you will do great in nursing school. Wish the rest of us luck, ok :wink2: I am struggling through 2 classes to keep A's and I dont have small children. My daughter is 15 and very self sufficient. I had better go and hit the books now. We have an exam Monday and a veins/arteries exam on Wednesday.

Anyway, we are glad you posted.
