A&P II Club! Come on in!

Who all is taking A&P 2 ? Is there going to be a club?:idea:

I wish you lots of luck. I think online courses would be very difficult. I am afraid I would have a hard time not thinking of things I needed to do at home, but also, I just know the classroom setting is the only way for me.

I hope you get to feeling better soon. Hang in there.

I had my heart lab last night---we had pictures of a sheep heart in our books but were given pig hearts to dissect...and our lab instructor talks about his mother in a thick accent and doesn't focus too much on helping us...

This semester I have a lot of personal stuff going on and have been sick for what's going on 2 weeks now :madface: so I'm regretting taking A&P II online--I'm just having great difficulty with self directed studying...

Wish me luck--I have to take my first test tomorrow night (it's multiple choice/true false taken in the library) on the endocrine system, blood, heart and circulatory system...and I can't even keep all the hormones straight :(

i am so glad for you that he figured out what he did. that would be most dreadful. especially if you studied and knew the answers.

i passed my lab test!!! :) i forgot to study for the tongue so i only missed two questions.. i had one right but then i erased it and put something else.. i hate that!!! lol but i got a big scare on my lecture because he made two versions of the tests.. test a and test b so on the people who took test b (like me) he accidently used the answer key for test a!!!!!! it had said i had a 28!!!! out of a 100 questions!! :confused: ity was crazy but he is going to rescan them and tell us later.. anywys we dont get to do any sheep hearts.. which sucks cuz i would like to get hands on.. but oh well we stick to models and powerpoints.. :o

Hello everyone! I too am taking A&P II this semester. A&P I was a challenge especially since the professor never taught A&P before and was learning everything along with us. I am hoping that this semester gives me a better experience and I earn a better grade :) Good Luck to everyone!! Is there going to be discussion regarding different topics in A&P II....kind of like a study group type thing? Peace!

im takin a&p ii this semester... i love it!!! we just finished the endocrine system.. i liked knowing what all the hormones do and diseases. my teacher is funny but loud.. lol how is everyone liking it so far? a&p i really comes into play in a&p ii..

any tips on how to remember the hormones and targets and functions? i am having a hard time remembering what releases what and what inhibits what and where....any tips?

A study group type of thing would be nice, but since we are in different programs, we are all going at different speeds. For example, I've already taken my lecture test over the endocrine system. We just finished covering blood, and started talking about the heart. Our next test will be in early Oct and cover blood, heart and blood vessels.

As far as study groups go, we finally got a really good one. I know 3 of us are really serious about it. :)

I will go to open lab tomorrow morning since our teacher will be available for help in the study center. I will meet one of my class mates....a doctor from Iran, he has a very strong accent, I am also from a foreign country, so we get along pretty well. He is also older like me :mad:

i'm taking A&P II and like it too...1 wasn't a big deal so i dont expect 2 to be either...good luck to all

Well, I wish it wasn't such a big deal for me :) I think it is awesome when people can breeze through something that is hard for most people. It makes me a bit jealous, but it is cool :)

I don't breeze through anything easily either. English is my second language and that doesn't help :rolleyes:

ok...so we are doing blood, heart etc....prof doesn't show for arterties and veins....test was supposed to be yesterday and i get to class to find out he's in ICU and they don't know what they are going to do about our class...another prof can take it on MW same time...but probably many students have other classes...they will call us to let us know what will happen....THIS STINKS
