I took A&P I and II and microbiology at Nashua Community in 2007-2008, and I was very happy with it. The professor I had for A&P is no longer teaching there, which could affect your experience with it. I chose it over Rivier because of the cost; I'll be paying enough for nursing school when I get in! Every so often our A&P professor would mention a limitation of our course because they didn't have a huge budget, but I learned a lot and still remember most of it after 1-2 years. I have never taken a class at Riv and can't really speak to any differences.
One thing I really liked about NCC was the level of support, and not just academic. Need a transcript? No problem--first one I received back when I ordered them for my NS application. Need to talk to the dept head about something? Just email her; she's back to you within the day. Need answers after hours? The office of the evening division stayed open later, especially during registration. The only administrative weakness I found was that the registrar's phone always went to voice mail, and it took a few tries to get a human. NCC seems to cater to adult students, and it was as easy as possible to take these 3 pre-reqs. Hope this helps.

Hi there, I am wondering if anyone has any recommendations on where to take A&P. I am taking classes at both Nashua Community and will be taking some at Rivier for the summer. I want to take A&P I in the Fall and am trying to decide between the 2 schools, as to which may offer the better course. If you could tell me your likes/dislikes for which one you attended?
Thanks!
