I plan on taking an A&P I class online but I haven't taken biology. Should I take Biology first (even an Intro to Biology that 3 hours no lab) or will I be okay in A&PI?

The school I go to requires that you take Biology I before you can take A&P I. I know it really helped me have a good foundation when I got to A&P I.
It just depends on how you feel about the material. Most places do not require Biology I before A&P, so it probably wouldn't be a problem.
Good luck!

My school doesn't require bio b/f A&P. Only chem. However, from someone who is taking A&P currently..YES...bio will help you out a great deal. A&P is a difficult class even with bio background. Good luck!

I think it is difficult for someone with no prior biology courses to go through A&P. I highly recommend taking a general bio class first. It helped me a great deal.

I took A&P1 over the course of 5 weeks during the summer. I had Introductory Biology before I took A&P1. Going at a fast pace, I can tell you that A&P1 was a breeze in large part because I was able to focus more on the details of human anatomy instead of trying to comprehend mitosis, meiosis, and other concepts that I learned in biology. However, I do know people who took A&P1 without introductory biology and they did just fine, although they did have to work a little more.

Bio is a required before anatomy or physiology at our school. the students that didn't do well in bio tended to struggle in the harder classes.
Bio will not be hard, my cousin is taking it now online. I just want to take A&PI so I can apply to some programs pronto. I am a straight A student, I think I'll be fine either way.
