TEAS ANXIETY!
It will be ok. You know what you know and leave it at that. Freaking out doesn't help at all and you know that. I took it without studying much. Took the practice test that was in ATI book and once on-line. Scored 84 on the actual test. Not great, but acceptable. Yes, I did have computer glitches and had to reset twice towards the end. Missed a whole page and lost interest. English is my second language so if I can pull it off, I'm sure you can too. Just try to stay focused. Good luck!

Will I get in Nursing School with these grades?? PlS HELP!
Check with the schools in your areas and have them evaluate your transcript. Looks like you did well in the preq classes so it may not be as bad. Some schools here just took those classes to arrive at GPA to get in. Good luck!

Nursing School with no support from hubby and 4 kids...Can it be done?
If you really want to do it, JUST get started by taking pre-reqs to see how you do. You got to do it for yourself.

Associates & Bachelors....Advise Please
I would apply to all if you have all the pre-reqs met and make my decision after acceptance. I'm in the same boat as you are.

Going to school to be a doctor, but took extreme interest to flight nursing
I totally agree with the above post. Time and experience will lead the way for you. That's something you really have to do and feel to know what you enjoy doing as a career. You're still very young, use your time wisely Damon. Money isn't everything. It didn't come across in your message why you really want to be a doc or a nurse.

A&P I BEFORE Biology
My school doesn't require bio b/f A&P. Only chem. However, from someone who is taking A&P currently..YES...bio will help you out a great deal. A&P is a difficult class even with bio background. Good luck!

Anatomy Tutoring
Cool...Bo..take full advantage of it. Lucky you!

Anatomy Tutoring
Great if your instructor allows it. In my school, A&P classes are always full and difficult to get into. Instructors can't take more than what they have seating for. You can freshen up your bio and chem and start studying on your own for A&P if you got the time and motivation which sounds like you do. Good thinking ahead.

Taking up Nursing course
Hi there, Here's what I would do... 1st go check out the near by Community college to see what you need to take. Perhaps TOFAL exam to get into taking college classes. This answer your 1st question. 2. Every school is different so you need to go to the Colleges that offers nursing program. 3. From what I know, GED is for those without a high school dipolma. 4. Yes, Community colleges are cheap and good way to get your pre-reqs done or even become an RN. 5. You need to ck with the financial counselor for this question. 6. Another option for you is to become a CNA while going to school to become an RN. CNA is just a semester course to get certified. Good luck!

Anatomy & Physiology Fall 2008
CracklinRose, Oh dear!!! You are doing AMAZING!!!! Hang in there. You know you're doing the right thing...she's so lucky to have you. You will look back one day and those grades are not going to be as important as the help you gave your cousin. You can always replace your grades, you can't replace the special times you shared when she needed you most. Looks like you have your priority stright. Don't sweat too much over the brain and cranial nerves stuff. Actually, I found that to be the easiest part so far. Those mnemonics are big help to me. You are a STAR!! Best of luck to you. May she dwell in peace.

Anatomy & Physiology Fall 2008
Help!! Does anyone know of a good link to learn how to pronounce these A&P words correctly? My instructor doesn't go over them but expect us to them. How can I learn if I don't know how to pronounce the word? TIA! :nuke:

Anatomy & Physiology Fall 2008
Hi, My final exam for A&P 1 is the HAPS exam. I'm wondering how that is like and how best to study for it. My instructor said it is super easy multiple choice questions. That's all I know. Can anyone help me find old exams to study from? TIA!

Anatomy & Physiology Fall 2008
Please help me decide.... Ok...I'm seriously thinking of dropping A&P1 and retake next semester. It's a lot for me to keep up w/o having any bio background. We're half way through the class and I have a "C". I'll be lucky to pull a B at best and final is cumulative. It sure takes a different study approach. Twenty hrs of study time per wk isn't enough. More importantly, I don't want to go into NUR with knowing only 1/2 of the A&P stuff. So far, my GPA is 4.0 for my pre-reqs and kind of want to keep it that way. What are your thoughts? Greatly appreciate your feedback.
