A&P2 hybrid online course - ever take one?

I'm thinking about taking an Anatomy & Physiology II (A&P2) course that is online for the lecture part and in person for the lab. So, I consider it a "hybrid". Does anyone recommend against taking A&P2 in this format? Is it better to be in the instructor's face for the lecture AND lab? My thought is that this will probably be a fine format. I've completed many online courses in the past but had an experience with a math course that made me feel like math classes are just not cut out for online format (or, at least the one I took).

I'm finishing up taking a A&P1 hybrid class this semester, and I registered to take the same format for A&P2.

I've enjoyed the course and I'm doing well, but I have a strong biology background, and the majority of my first degree was completed through distance courses. I can't say I'd be doing so well if not for my prior experience.

In my current class, the average is in the low 70s. And even after half the class dropped out, the class average was still in the 70s for the last two exams. It is definitely not the teacher, as she gives a study guide, lecture notes, and slideshows, and her tests are very fair in that they only draw questions from those sources.

A&P is just so much information. If you are a seasoned self-learner, it is do-able, but it will require that you spend hours/day teaching yourself the material. It will require more time than you would spend sitting for a lecture class. I don't say this in attempts to discourage you, but I just want to make sure that you're prepared and motivated if you do go for a hybrid course!

Thanks for the feedback. I really don't know what to expect but I'm going to go for it. Hopefully the fact that I am very comfortable with the online format and extremely focused on getting an A will help me.

I took both A&P I and II this way and LOVED it! But had an AWESOME instructor. The book I had had a great study website we used and she made great powerpoints for use to study by. I would suggest if you take it to use the website given by the book and make sure you have plently of time to study!
