Hey everyone!!
For my anatomy and physiology class I have to do a presentation.
I brought up the idea of wound care to my professor and she said I could compare two medicines. I was kind of stuck
I was trying to research two possible medicines used to treat the same thing maybe? I was wondering if anyone has any knowledge of wound care or any treatments they could suggest for me.
Thanks in advance!!

How about comparing treatment with a wound vac and treatment with another type of dressing? Or maybe compare a venous stasis ulcer treated with a Unna's Boot to treatment with silvasorb gel and a dry dressing. I have been amazed at outcomes with both wound vacs and Unna's Boots in the LTC facility that I have worked at.

I would think a comparison of two medications would lean more heavily on pharmacology than A&P. Then again, I'm not sure what your presentation entails.
What exactly is the assignment?

I thought the same thing. What does medication have to do with A&P???

hmm - sounds like a creative assignment. She must be a good instructor.
Unlike previous posters - I think pharmacology has EVERYTHING to do with A & P. Drugs work on the body - and nurses need to know how they work in order to understand potential side effects and educate their patients.
How about comparing two different types of chemo drugs or antibiotics - based on what part of the cell they affect? You probably could get some great graphics from the pharmaceutical co.s that make them... just ask a pharmacist.
