Hello to everyone..Can I ask anyone who is working with MOH saudi Arabia? Can I ask if they are offering a 1 year contract? Can you give me also an idea regarding their exam? Thank you in advance. Godbless!

I already disregarded their offer. I just don't know for the other applicants and there are hundreds of us. I wish I could PM you the name of the agency and the hospital but I see that your posts haven't yet reached 15 so I'll just wait hehe..

Housing and transportation are free. If the hospital is quite far from the place of our residence, they will provide a shuttle for us to and from the workplace. As for the electiricty, appliance and water supply, I don't know if that is included for free or if we will be the ones shouldering it.

With regard to your reply, not having your salary up to 6 months is also possible even if your under SRO-MOH right? It boils down as to how fast your iqama or work permit will be issued? Who will apply for iqama? You or MOH will process it for you?

Our salaries are negotiable based on our specialization. Dialysis, ER and OR nurses are offered with higher salary.

As for us general nurses without specialization, they only offer us SR 2250-2300 and the SR 200 for food allowance is already included there. So if they offer you SR 2300, that means that your actual salary is only SR 2100 because the other SR 200 is your food allowance.

One thing about this agency and why they are patronized by many is their ability to adjust your work experience.

Meaning, they will make a new COE for me and for all of us who applied.

I knew people who had their papers processed in this agency and they are now working in Saudi. This agency is true and they are all working in a JCI accredited private hospitals and not in clinics. But the salary is quite low...

Before I forget, the processing fee is 18k+ it includes the mediccal fee of PHP 3920, authentication of documents in the embassy, visa stamping, etc. But this can be paid by installment. For the placement fee, it is equivalent to your 1 month salary and the mode of payment is by salary deduction. Hence, your first monthly wage will go to the agency.

I went to the agency for interview at exactly 11am and I was interviewed at 7pm! Just imagine how long that was! So I had a chance to have some chit chat with my fellow applicants. I cannot blame those who are applying. I was also enticed by the agency's offer. Some are even graduates and board passers of 2007 that up until present has no paid work experience but only volunteer or clinic work. Some are company nurses and medical representatives. There is this girl who even came from Pangasinan just to get a slot from this agency. Some are from Nueva Ecija, Pampanga, Laguna and Bicol.

With the current situation of nurses here in our country, they don't mind even if they are offered with this work conditions. They even told me that: "Even if we are offered with low salary, we cannot complain because we don't have paid hospital experience. We are even grateful that they are considering us unlike in this country wherein you will be exploited by volunteering with a FEE. We are not getting any younger and some of us have children to feed. We will rather work abroad with low salary than do volunteer work in a hospital with no guarantee of being absorbed." :(

MOH hospital benefits based on my experience as a nurse in KSA:

1) Yearly paid vacation(I mean every 10 months), with at 30 days vacation plus holidays. With free round trip ticket.

2)Accommodation and food are free. Food will be in either monetary allowances or raw food stocks or cooked.

3) Sometimes you get your salary on time within the first 3 months, some dont. With my expericne, we dint get our 3 months salary of which explanation wasnt clearly given to us. But I dint care really, and afterward salary came on time.

I left coz I wasnt happy. Now im looking for another job. I am considering going back to KSA, so I tried applying through an agency. Coz I know usually through them, you already know your workplace, hospital and region in KSA, before you proceed with you papers. Unfortunately, benefits and salary offered through these agencies are ridiculous! Overly low for an experienced RN, long duration of contract, and no yearly vacation.

It's no problem with me if you can't give the infos of the agency or its client. I really don't mind=) But frankly I wondered for a sec what's the number of my posts has to do with it? Haha. Anyway, I just got nervous on the part that they didn't provide its applicants the info on their area of assignment, which i think most of the time they (agencies) already know. But if the agency's client is again MOH of a country, then it's acceptable for me.

Yes, long delays in salaries is not impossible for MOH nurses, especially if the hospital is inappropriately managed by responsible persons. I went through that, and some are still going through it. That's the uncertain part, that even if you're hired under MOH, you'll face things that you might not have expected.

I really do appreciate agencies who are true to their client and applicants. I know nurses without working experience who got hired through agencies and was able to land in hospitals with high reputation, accredited by JCI. And yes, private hospitals offer lesser compensation than gov't, just the same in every country.

I sympathize with the sentiments of our fellow nurses all over the country. I, as well, went through all of it..and it really is so nostalgic reading your post.

I tried volunteer work, and luckily I didn't need to pay. But there always come a time that you want your career to grow and benefit from it..and so I tried to look for a local job, I submit my papers to big hospitals in the country, got interviewed, passed, and unfortunately wasn't hired. Every HRD said the same thing, they will call once there's a vacancy. A friend convinced me to apply in POEA-SRO. Though hesitant at first, I decided to pursue it, disregarding the risk (knowing it's a country with some scary reputation), the feeling of uncertainty, the salary (which is lower compared to the dreamed dollars).

I got lucky, reached KSA and had a job, faced more challenges, was able to gain experience and got back to Phil. One prestigious local hospital called me while i was away..i really wanted to work there but my plans changed due to certain circumstances.

Currently, I'm looking forward to again have a job outside the country..

My only advice to my desperate fellow nurses is to be wise and clever. Know the things that you should know, hope for the best, expect for the worst, and never forget to have faith to our Almighty God. God bless. ^__^

But my friends and I got our salary on the 4th month. The bad thing is we only received 1 month. Opposed to what POEA explained that once we get our first salary, we'll receive all the remaining balance from previous months. Our situation remained the same until that time that the staffs were already complaining. And suddenly, on our 6th month, they finally gave the remaining balance. It might not have too much effect to those who have no responsibilities at home..but for someone who have kids or families relying to them, it could be devastating..

I also agree in your statement about private agencies..but things also depend on what kind of client these agencies have. For example, some agencies have clients that are still under the government of Saudi, like MODA (Ministry of Defense and Aviation) and NGH (National Guard Hospitals), so the benefits are quite the same and sometimes better. But the downside is they have high qualifications and requirements that is sometimes really frustrating..(^ ^)

hi everyone! I am a newly board passer from batch 2010.I would like to know the meaning of MOH and can I apply in KSA without any experience yet? Thank you in advance fellow RNs

@Chadlie: MOH is Ministry Of Health, and Im hate to break it to you, but you will need at least 1 year of continued hospital work. Just try to get as much experience as you can for now.

@Lyfer: I guess we were still lucky, on the third month we finally got our salary of three months equivalent including the fourth. I guess we have the same situation, went to KSA and came back and now applying for another job. :lol2: and people wonder why I left my previous workplace.

Yup some agencies hire for reputed hospitals in KSA with bigger salaries and better benefits, but with rigid screening. Funny how much I have my career planned when I was in nursing school. I knew what I wanted to do and where I wanted to work and planed each step to get there. Now, im just honestly, a bit lost.. lol but I'm hopeful. I know someday I'll get there.

Hello everybody.. I am enjoying the posts here as I can relate with you all, now just let me share my lenghty story (a mix of comedy, drama, suspense, action, lessons to be learned) with you guys..

I graduated from nursing on 2007 and got a job from my home-base hospital. While in the midst of financial difficulties at that time, a friend showed me the ads of POEA announcing they need general ward nurses/or even nurses without experience for deployment to KSA. Even if KSA's impression to everyone is a bit scary, I didnt mind at all. I completed my requirements, which hasn't been a smooth journey for me as well as I had to go back to POEA twice. The staff in Window M didn't accepted all my papers initially when I came there until I passed the NBI the next time. They told me to wait for the date of my interview. After 2months of waiting I got a message from them.

Then I arrived very early at POEA around 5am, as I came all the way from Nueva Ecija. The office opened at 8am, and due to enormous number of applicants (an estimate of 400+) I was interviewed around 3.30pm with initial symptoms of hyperglycemia.. Then everything went well, after answering 3 easy questions the arab interviewer told me I have just to wait for the result as they will post the names of successful applicants at SRO office.. I was thrilled, nervous and very excited for the result for three days.

From night duty, I have to travel all the way to Manila. just to view the list in the SRO. After the long anticipation I didn't find my name there.. After looking at the paper for nth time, and as I started to loose hope and step back towards the elevator and go home, then I thought of asking one of the applicants there and told me the list might be incomplete.. I suddenly smelled hope and asked Manong Guard sitting near the door where I can find my name. He told me to stand in a long cue of nurses there, there I found out, they are looking for their names as well. When I reached the table of a big piles of paper, I asked myself what are these? And there I saw my name written in a medical referral form! Hay what a chaotic search, there was not even one to assist. But anyway, I was so happy to know at the end that I passed the interview..

I thought the difficult journey ended was over, but I was wrong, actually it was just a start of endless sleepless night, travelling from Nueva Ecija to manila in just one day, going to different offices which are located to places I never imagined (CHED in Pampanga for example which i had serious difficulty locating ) to provide all the requirements, Red Ribbon and all. That is the case for first-timer applicants.. I was also running out of funds at that time due transportation, meal expenses) But there was no way of quitting.. No way to look back, I told myself. Hayy...

Finally after getting my medical referral there is also an instruction that I have to pass my all requirements to SRO not later than one one month or else everything will be put into waste, my application will be invalid. I was in panic at that time because I was late in completing my documents. I only had relief after they accepted my papers and knowing that it was not true, everyone can be late in passing their documents but maybe not later than two months. Again, I was instructed to wait for the SRO's text for my flight details!!! I told myself, this is true!! I am really going to Saudi Arabia.

On the other hand, SRO's way of giving indefinite notice to their applicants placed me in uncertainty regarding my job. I cannot pass my resignation soon at that time due to my fear that there will be problems or delay with my flight.

But I had to file my resignation because of the 30 day resignation notice rule my hospital is very strict of implementing. My separation pay might not be given to me upon violating that rule. I was in a dillema at that time. Everything was even complicated by my very "inhumane" supervisors who didn't explain to me very well that I can file my resignation notice in advance and just extend the date of it in accordance to my flight details. Hay what to say??!!

Anyway the much expected text came, I screwed with my resignation deadline, and lost my separtation pay, but anway I told myself finally i will reap the fruits of my hardship..

mean_gurl98 is correct. currently, they (MOH) are requiring a minimum of 1 year working (not training) experience. the last time i remember them accepting applicants with no experience was way back year 2008. maybe they might accept applicants with (-) exp if they suddenly come to a massive need of nurses.

My friend was also interviewed last Nov.2010 and like you she didn't received any text from SRO. Her friend went to SRO and ask what had happened because during the interview the interviewers told them that they passed. SRO told them that they ran out of job orders because it was given alphabetically. My friend's last names starts at y and v. What's your last name? SRO told them to wait for the next delegation and they told them that those who applicants who didn't receive their JOs will be prioritized...So that means you will just have to wait and pray and have faith..=)

I got another text message from SRO telling us that they will be issuing the departure slip this coming Monday. Hope to see you there. ? and also they moved the flight schedule to February 5-7, see you! By the way where are you assigned?
