It all depends on what you are transferring in. I had 50 to do and it was no big deal. I finished in 3.5 months. Are there classes they are saying you need that you disagree with? Remember, it's competency based so if there's a class you already took you should be able to sail through it.

If you have to take classes that you feel you've already fulfilled, you can submit an appeal.

If you don't think you have grounds for an appeal...

Would the potential of taking an extra semester change your mind about going with ? Because that's about what you're looking at, assuming little or no acceleration. And, like featherz said, some people get through that much in the first semester.

WGU doesn't really demand anything more than any other BSN program. If you don't have the necessary prerequisites and general ed requirements for WGU, then the same will probably be true of other programs. So look at your other options, but if this turns out to be true, you may as well get through them quickly at WGU :)

45 credits is no big deal. It can be done in one year, and if you are ultra-motivated, the 45 credits can be completed in one 6-month term.

I am in the middle of my first term, which started on May 1st. I've already completed 14 CUs and I have not even been in the program a full three months. Also, I hope to complete 14 more CUs before this term ends in November.

Be cognizant that, if you've already taken the class in the past, you should be able to fly through 's version of the course within a week or two. For instance, I took and passed an introductory 100-level nutrition course at my local community college with an 'A' grade in 2007, but WGU required me to take their 300-level course called Nutrition for Contemporary Society. I simply refreshed my memory with lecture notes and passed the course within a couple of weeks of starting it.

Yes. A lot of people struggle with Nutrition and Statistics. I've taken nutrition twice before, and statistics 15 years ago, and found both classes pretty simple, even though I didn't remember a single thing from statistics.

Very true, just a bit of a shock seeing others with much less.

I intend on doing just that. Thanks for the words of encouragement.
