Bellevue College 2011 hopefuls

U.S.A. Washington

Thought I would put this thread up for those of us who have applied to BC RN program.

I know we won't find out until mid-April if we made it or not, but how did everyone do on the TEAS test???? I have heard alot of horror stories about test scores.

Do you know what the lowest score accepted for 2010 admission on The TEAS for last year was? I applied for this year as well.

Last year the lowest was score was around 84. That's what I heard, anyway. Not sure how accurate that number is though...

I asked a friend who just started this quarter after I posted and that is what she said too. Makes me hopeful! Wish we didn't have to wait until the middle of April to find out. Seems like a long time from now!

I know! It does seem like forever to wait.. Hopefully, we will meet in September. :)

I applied for this fall 11/winter 12 as well. I scored pretty high on the TEAS, but i have had a ton of trouble getting all of my paperwork together. I had 3 different previous colleges and no access to vaccination records. I had to get almost all of them again. i am convinced that something is going to fall through the cracks and despite my score i will not get in. i wish we did not have to wait until april...

TEAS score- At the info meeting last month, the program director (the tall blonde woman. i forgot her name) said that the averages for last year were

Fall 2010- 90%

Winter 2011- 85%

so, it makes sense that the lowest would be 84.

hope to see you all in class!

There was a lot of information to get together before the deadline! Thankfully I had a blood titer done last year for my CNA, but I did still need my last Hep B shot. I got it last Friday before turning in my application paperwork. April feels so far away, and afte spending the last two years plugging away at all the prereqs, the stress of wondering if I have done enough, done well enough, and wondering if it will pay off is overwhelming. I feel good knowing that my TEAS score is above the averages, but will feel much better when/if I get the acceptance letter. I had no idea what I was getting myself into when I decided to go back to school for nursing! I'm glad I stumbled upon this site. It's nice to know I'm far from alone in all of this!

I think getting all that paperwork together was a test in itself.:) my insurance would not cover titers, but it would cover vaccines. so i had to just get most of them again.

have you been working as a CNA while doing pre-reqs? I am working on my CNA right now. It is required before starting the program, right?

I just finished Elementary Stats and i am trying to apply my amateur knowledge to figure out my odds. I think i am ok, but April will bring answers. getting to this point was a HUGE investment i really hope it pays off for both of us.

Which version of TEAS you all took for BC RN? I heard that version V is harder than other versions.

BC requires version V. This is the only version I've taken, so I don't know if it is harder than earlier versions. A lot of people are saying it is though, including the nursing advisor at BC.

Specializes in Perioperative Patient Care Technician.

I am really hoping to get in. My application isn't the most competitive, so I am hoping for winter admission. My GPA was a 3.3 and my TEAS was a 84%. I tried so hard though! :(

which version of teas did everyone take?

i took the test with in the valid time frame at an approved school. it turned out that that school was using version 4.0 and not v. the nursing brochure did not mention version at the time. (now it does for the 2012 application period). at the info session, they told me that sccc was an approved school, but sccc did not start doing teas v until january and applications started in november. am i going to be disqualified over this? how do you think they are going to handle two different tests?

thanks for your response!
