U.S.A. Washington DC

Hello all!

I wanted to make a formal thread for anyone interviewing at/taking a job at WHC for the Feb 2016 Residency Program. What floors were you hoping for? Which floors did you receive an offer for? I accepted an offer today for 4G Surgical ICU. My birthday was yesterday so it was the best birthday gift ever :)

What is the residency starting pay, if you don't mind me asking?

$28.088 is the base rate

I got what I interviewed for which was the cardiac/tele floor. Excited to begin. :)

4G is a great unit. cardiac sicu! the pm rns are a league of their own that either like u or don't. they have some 20 years +. the overall unit is amazing and a great learning experience!

we start tomorrow are u excited?

Hi guys! I just got offered a job for the July 2016 residency but there's no thread for that one. I haven't accepted it yet but I'm just wondering how it is? I'm so nervous for the transition to being an actual nurse. I'm from NJ too so it's a big move for me, and I'm wondering if it's worth it to work there or try to find a job here. I know hospitals here pay the same if not more. Any feedback about the residency program would be awesome!

Hey Kylie94x!

I've been offered a position for the same residency. Did you accept it? Have you heard any feedback about the program?
