George Mason Accelerated BSN Fall 2011

U.S.A. Washington DC

Published

Hi all,

I'm applying to GMU's accelerated BSN program for fall 2011 admission, and I have a few questions... First of all, I know that they don't require letters of recommendation, but will they accept them and read them if you send one or two in with your application?

Secondly, Does anyone know how much weight they put on the HESI Admissions Assessment? I believe this is the first year that they are requiring that applicants take this particular exam. I am currently enrolled in Anatomy & Physiology I, but we've only been in class for 2 months, so I'm not quite sure how much they expect us to know for the A&P portion of the HESI. If anyone could shed some light on this issue that would be great!

Thanks and good luck to all!

I got a 96% on the HESI, but I have NO idea how much it counts towards their decision. Still waiting on even the acceptance as a transfer student. This makes it really frustrating because I got into GU, but it's astronomically expensive! So, now I get to spend my weekend working on a scholarship essay. So I'm in the same boat with the anxiety and frustration. Best of luck!

Hey has anyone heard anything yet?

No I havent heard anything yet I thought they would have mailed the letters on friday but i am really anxious!

I have heard from a reliable source that they will start mailing letters today and tomorrow. Good luck to you all:)!

good news!....this has taken way too long

Since I'm in the area, I guess it shouldn't take too long for the letter(s) to arrive! Does the general admissions letter come at the same time as the ABSN admissions letter? Hopefully we'll find out by early next week. Good luck everyone!

is it for traditional too!!!

They told me that they are sending the ASD applicant's letters first. But hopefully, it won't be long for you also.

Does ASD stand for "Traditional" or "Accelerated?"

yeah what exactly is ASD??
