where do I get my finger prints done?

Hello I am planning to transfer to Seattle. I recently got my finger print kit and I was wondering exactly how or who do I go to get this done?

Also why does the process cost so much?? In total I would have spent over $180 in getting my license transferred. Every single step seems to have some form of a cost to it..

You might want to check with your local police department, if they can't or won't do it, they should be able to point you in the right direction.

I got mine done at my college because it has an academy program. However, you can go to the sherriff department (not the police) and it is pretty cheap. I had to get fingerprinted for my name change and it cost five dollars.

I got mine done at the sherrifs office down in Arlington VA at the court house
