Anyone out there applying to the RN program at the Virginia Beach MCI campus? My older sister just graduated from MCI and has already landed her first job! The wait to see if I am accepted or not is absolutely killing me. Anyone else???

Thanks, LCSnowdon. I figured it would be pretty basic since it's a 1 credit P/F class. I had to take Bio Freshman Seminar for my BS, so probably similar. It seems silly to have to take, but it is what it is...

This is so exciting :):yeah:

I've already got A&P I/II, micro, both english comps, and sociology out of the way. They accepted everything that I wanted to transfer. I'd have been sad if I had to retake them, especially micro since that's what I did my B.S in! Since I won't have much going on initially, I wouldn't mind staying in touch with everyone by helping folks out with studying. It would be a good refresher for me, too.

CareerStudent - has your schedule stayed consistent with the curriculum outline, or have classes been moved around? Based on the curriculum I was given, the ONLY class I have during the first 3 mods is freshman orientation.

Hey! That is awesome, it will give you a chance to refresh while they are in the first 3 mods. My schedule has stayed consistent, but the Gen Ed's in each mod have not stuck to the schedule. But when I got the schedule I was told that would happen. For Mod 1 we took A&P 1 and Orientation, Mod 2 we took A&P 2 and English, Mod 3 Micro and Nutrition, and Mod 4 Concepts 1 and Sociology. So the core has stayed the same but Gen Ed's switch up. I was happy they accepted all my transfers to as it saved me a big head ache!

microkate - freshman orientation is basically a 'filler' class. for the pn program, it was learning about the nurses who made a difference, Florence Nightingale etc. Learned the basics/beginnings of nursing....I think we may even did some math in that class? It was ridiculously easy lol...so no worries!

Yes the Orientation class is lame! We had to read a boring book and take some quizzes on it. But we also did Med Term which was good to learn in that class and all the LPN's had to read another book and take a separate class.

Im in for nights!!!!!

wooooo hoooooo!

congrats all you girls that made it!!!!

I've been lurking, but I thought I would just congratulate everyone on getting accepted!! I got accepted into the days program so I'll be seeing some of you there :D

Congrats to everyone finding out they've made it in! :) Curious...anyone on here from mrs. blatzer's chem class from the previous mod (last 5 week term)? I did the day class and was wondering if anyone I 'knew' I'd be seeing again ?! So exciting...ready for orientation next Friday!!! :D

Joy! I remember you from Mrs. ******** and the Chemistry class! Glad to hear I will know someone!
