  1. well, if you can do days, i would do days. To tell you the truth though, i like doing night classes better.Thats just me though. Everone has their own opinion. its nice to be able to do your work during the day before your class, and your not all tired from waking up early. :) regardless, youre gonna be married to MCI for the next year and a half. Its so worth it though. Good Luck!!
  2. yes. I have a 2 year old daughter, and with her schedule, going to night classes is perfect for me. I think its pretty even when it comes to the difficulty of getting in nights or days. there are a lot of people who want nights because of work, or children. If you have the type of schedule that you could do days, i would do that. The clinical hours i've heard are way better.
  3. i guess i can say that during the interview, just know what to say if someone asked you why you wanna be a nurse. Be very confident. From what ive learned from other girls that i talk to, they never ask the same questions. just be yourself
  4. i was just accepted into the night class and i start in may. my teas scores were science-70, and the others i got like all 85s. my scores i believe were on the lower half, but they were alright. i got all high A's in the pre-reqs, and i think i did pretty well on the essay and letters of recommendation. i think one of the main things is to get an A in your classes there. It shows that you can handle the fast curriculum, and they say you only need an 80, but thats to be even looked at. You have to remember that your fighting a LOT of other people for your spot. Kick butt in your classes, turn in an amazing essay and letters, and really let them get a good sense of you in your interview. Im sure youll do great!
  5. I got in! Im so excited! Thanks for all your help! I feel bad for all the girls that i had classes with that didnt make it But, Im so excited to start the program and to start my nursing career. When do you graduate?
  6. Im in for nights!!!!! wooooo hoooooo! congrats all you girls that made it!!!!
  7. Anyone out there appling for May, Let us know what happens! My fingers are crossed. I believe we should know this week :)
  8. hey Im also applying for May i was told a couple weeks ago that there were 125 applicants, but the number most likely went down at least a bit from what my advisor told me after my interview honestly, on my teas, i got like 80s and 85s my scores were good, but im sure there were others who did better in science i believe you have topo have at least a 70, and an average of all four being below an 80... not completely sure though 2 more weeks... this is hell
  9. I have also heard about people being turned away and being told they might have a shot at newport news. After talking to my advisor, he broke it down that your admittance is based upon #1 TEAS scores, #2 your GPA, and the essay and letters are the little extra. Also they do want to get a good sense of who you are in your interview. A LOT of the girls who are applying have 4.0s and did really well on the TEAS. It really all depends on who is applying when you are also. Some mods and years are more competitive. I think if anything, that just shows really how competitve MCI really is.... So far I really love the school My fingers are crossed that Ill be in this year
  10. oh, and im supposed to go in for the background test and drug screening this wed. I think a bunch of girls are doing it that day
  11. thankyou for responding! I think the interview went really well! My advisor says i have a pretty good chance, so my fingers are crossed. Oh, and i was told that they do wait for the interview untill your midterm grades are in for the people who are taking the classes right before the program starts, So yall are both going for days?? Good luck! i cant wait till we find out! all this waiting is driving me crazy!
  12. hey guys! I actually have my interview tomorrow for the rn program in virginia beach. how did yall do on your teas and pre-req classes??
