I received 100 and 100 also. I just went straight down the lab book and then the text. I have a feeling it depends on how nitpicky of a coach you have. I'm lucky.
Me too but, it took 7 hours for each and my hands are sore! Need a voice computer!

Hi Luna,I completely agree with your post. Last night I finished week 1 and week 2 assignments, although I still have some polishing up to do, and I was wondering to myself why everyone says this class is so crazy. And, I concluded that it must be because of the grading in conjunction with the fact that there is no guidance on how exactly they want the narrative written. I have heard they take off lots of points for silly things and so, knowing that, it is very stressful for everyone. So, now I get it. Yes, both sample assignments are worthless, in my opinion. And,the common error guide is a joke. For the expectation of subjective data, it says to "see lab manual." That's a big help. I think we all could learn health assessment from this class just fine without the instructions being so vague about the assignments and then they punish us with points off for not doing it correctly when we were never told how to do it in the first place! Anyway, here are some tips I've learned: don't forget to use mmHg after your BP reading and BPM after your pulse reading. And to include the scale for pain and pulses (e.g. 10 point scale for pain and 3+/4+ for pulse). My AC told us we don't have to include the address and phone # of our client in the biography section. Instead of the name, we should use initials. Thanks for everyone coming to this forum. we have to rely on each other for support since we obviously can't rely on the instructors. more later.
Omg, thank you scarletfire for the tips, my coach said that I was one of the few that included that!!!

anyone received grades yet?? still awaiting. trying to put off this weeks work so i can see my mistakes first.
I don't like the way that the grades for sub and obj don't show up until she grades them! I kept clicking on the safe assignment, which said that it was submitted, but still!

Wow, I just took 7 hours to finish my objective.
I was referring to last week's. I haven't started on this week's. Did it take you awhile for last week's also? I was done with both in 2.5 hrs. Maybe you're doing too good of a job!

For the finger, I put "cap refill < 2secs in all extremities and appendages." I didn't read the common errors paper so I missed out on the ten digit business. I didn't have any points deducted for anything.

    Hi Neonursej
glad you found the tips useful. i'm trying to pass on anything i learned from others who previously took this class, so i can't take credit for this.

    later.

i did. just copied and pasted from the finger-nail paragraph but changed the word, "fingers" to "toes"

i debated whether or not to include toes, but since it was easy to copy/paste, i did it. have no idea if this is overkill, but i'd rather not get points taken off for excluding things they might want.

All nighter for me also, but I am used to being up at night. Submitted week 2 assignments, now to take quiz and submit DB nursing diagnosis. Want to try and start week 3 so I can enjoy my Saturday night off and not study.

Hope all is well. Procrastination helps me focus.

I too described the toe nails and the capillary refill. I think the more you add the better off you will be, but it irritates me that i keep repeating myself.

    sidenote: i hate eyes...

Last week took me 3 hours each!

Not too good on week 2 quiz. Wasn't hard, guess I just need to look over material a little slower and take my time. Oh well, did well on 1st quiz.

I ran out of time on the first one, finished, but was sweating it! I need to take the test still and do the dq. O the holistic care if the older adult class, most of the test comes from the lectures notes, I don't think that is the case in this class!
