I'm an intensive care nurse in Holland. I would like to work in the Carribean, at this moment i have information from a medical recuitment office in Holland. They make "the connection" with other countries. Does anybody have expirience, information of intensive care "work" and the carribean???

To begin with, passing their nursing exam in their national language. Your US license is not vlaid there. Then there is immigration, you can expect it to take you about two years before you will be able to work there legally.

It is going to depend on which country that the island belongs to, just as a start. If the US, then you will need to go thru the US immigration process. Otherwise the country that the island belongs to. If a Dutch island, then it should be much easier for you, such as Aruba, etc. Best bet in that case, would be to contact their Board of Nursing (or equivalent) directly. They will be able to give you the exact info that you are looking for. I would get the info directly from them and not from an agency. You will save yourself much time and effort.

So I'm dual - Dutch and American and speak both, I would LOVE to work in NL! how is the pay there?

Are there Dutch travel nurse companies that also do assignments in Aruba and such?
