yes valley and hrn do pier diems

The trouble with agency per diem in California is that it pays less than hospital per diem. You will also end up working over 40 with no overtime because you have two employers. You will also lose free time and be unable to enjoy California. So the point would be?

If you want to work lots of hours, do a rapid response job that guarantees 48 hours or more. Then you can work anywhere (little off time so location no longer matters) and make big bucks. The leader in rapid response is Fastaff.

I have not done that before but I've met a lot of travelers that do that. They say it's a good way to maximize your income on a travel assignment. Say your contract is 36 hrs/wk, you can work registry/agency per diem and pick up extra shifts when you want to.
