California License
No I did not apply for a temporary lic, I think as long as they receive everything on time and everything is in order should not take long like other people have said. I was surprised too because I was scared that it was gonna take forever from what I heard. But nope it came do quick.

Job Offer White Memorial, where do I live?
Been trying to get a job at that hospital, which unit did you get hired on? I also live in TX. I visited the hospital while in LA

California License
Go to CA board website and follow the instructions, quick and easy, I utilized the online application, got my fingerprints done then mailed the fingerprint cards with the confirmation page you get after you are done with the online application, that is if you choose to do the online app, I did not have any issues, I sent everything they needed and got mine within 4 weeks I think. Endorsed from TX.

Northern california hospitals to avoid
Thanks for sharing, my recruiter is trying to submit me there. Medsurg/neuro, do you know anything about that unit. From what I have read people like Stanford and others have liked UCSF but the pay is low, another person liked Kaiser Vacaville.

Realistic take home
When i asked her what if i find my own housing, she said take home will be $900/week, but i did not ask her how much the stipend will be, I thought that was a rip off.

Realistic take home
So I'm talking to this recruiter and she is trying to submit me to Novato community hospital in Northern California, she is telling me take home is $1250/wk that is including the housing, I declined and she was like, let's be realistic, you are not going to get anything over 1300/week being a M/S nurse in the travel nursing business. Need advice coz I'm a first time traveler. I don't wanna give up my full time job where I make the same amount of money with benefits to 1250/wk. anyone worked at this hospital before?

Texas Health Resources Residency February 2013
I like THR, been here over 3 years. Started the versant residency at THR and I'm still here. My hospital-Arlington already hired some people for feb residency like two months ago. @LMG RN why will you want to live in Dallas and commute to HEB? Dallas traffic is horrible also it depends on the shift u will be working. I don't know if you are familiar with the areas but there are nice nearby neighborhoods you can consider. Good luck guys.
