Default Fastaff
I did 8-weeks for Fastaff in Reno it was 100% positive. $37/hr plus $200/week tax free expense money. 48 hr/week gaurantee. totally paid for 1 bedroom apartment with cable and phone already hooked up at no expense to me. Friendly staff. Good hospital. Not one negative issue in my book.

Does that mean you worked a strike, or just did a travel assignment? I would never do a strike, but I keep my mouth shut about what other people see fit to do. Fastaff used to be known as US Nursing, and Ryad, and had a really, really sleazy reputation--all they did was strike nursing. The old owner, Dan Mordecai, died some time back, so it may be different now.

However, let me say--if it WAS a strike--they did not pay you nearly enough. I have taken many travel assignments, and the pay was always more than $37 an hour. I know you have to factor in the other perks--and the loction--for example, in San Francisco for a regular travel assignment, as far back as 2000 I got $3000 a month for a housing allowance--thought that was awesome--UNTIL I found out travelers from another company got that PLUS a free rental car!

US Nursing (which specializes in strike Nursing) is actually separate. However they frequently contract nurses through Fastaff.

Fastaff still works with US Nursing and frequently supplies nurses for strikes. I will not work with them as they profit from strikes. And I refuse to deal with strikes or aid a company that is involved with them.

This was a regular travel assignment, not a strike. I have yet to meet ANY travelers from other companies who have made $37/hr with their companies. Nobody beats Fastaff for their pay rate that I have seen

I worked for them when they were Ryad for 8 weeks as a local traveller (no, not a strike). The money was good, but they were definitely sleazy at that time....All of their travellers HAD to work 4 12's Fri-Mon .angryfire. That assigment almost killed me! Didn't know any better though, first travel assisgnment.
