I was just wondering have any new grads received an interview or position at Womens Hospital in houston? If so do you have an suggestions how to land an interview after applying? Thanks!
I went up there and personally visited the Nurse Manager on one of the units. She said she was going to have HR bring me in for an interview. It has Been two weeks also. When I called her on this past Friday she said I should hear something early this week.
She told me that HR dont pull new grad applications for her unit unless she tells them too and that is usually after new grads come vist her personally. Hope this helps.
Have you heard anything newnurse88? A week ago, the nurse Manager said she sent my info and others to Mrs Goodman, a HR representative, to setup interviews. She said they just got approved for 5 openings on her unit. Just patiently waiting....
Don't know starting pay. But for BSN new grad in Houston med center from what I know from my Friends working Friends is 25 and up. And I visit labor and delivery.
Just wondering if you've heard back from her yet for an interview? And I was wondering if I can get her name. I've been trying to call but I guess I always call during the wrong time. I'm not from Houston or else I would've made the effort to go in personally.
The nurse manager seems really nice. Every time I walk into a nurse manager's office in the Bay area they direct to apply online and won't even accept my resume *sigh.
No call yet. Love them but they tell you one thing and you hope they keep their word. I can tell you now that you won't be able to get the nurse Manager on the phone. Just the Recruitor Mrs. Lynn Goodman. She will just say I will forward your resume to the manager. Which I can tell you is not going to get you far unless you visit. And even after that, it is a waiting game.
Tch is not the same as the Woman's Hospital of Texas. You must be talking about the Woman's Center that TCH built. TCH has a specific gn position that can open up at any time this semester. Other rn position you need atleast 6 months of experience. Also There is a 5 application limit before they lock you out from applying to anything again for 90 days. So watch that.
